Site Visits during Construction

January 2002

,

Now the fence is up, we can see the narrow entrance in the left hand image which is padlocked closed when nobody is working on site.

Within three or four days, a suite of skid-mounted transportable offices and ablutions are placed inside the entrance on the left, where one can see the chain link fence in the right hand picture.

,,

The right hand image shows the camera position for these three shots is roughly at the approach side of the Community Centre... in line with the centre of the middle leg of the reversed F shape of the site. Here we are looking directly westwards to wards the side of the set of a dozen or so units that constitute number 6 Reservoir Road, which run right back to the top of the "F".

The middle image looks back at Reservoir Road and we can see the side fence bordering on to adjoining house/lot number 10.

The left hand image looks slightly north of east, in the same general direction as the middle picture, but points towards the creek/drain on the northern side, showing tall vegetation along its banks.

,

These two photos are taken from the junction of the top bar of the "F" with the road which runs around the Community Centre. The left one looks back at the fence along the back of the Reservoir Road houses, and the one on the right looks over at the back corner where the first house (No.16) will be built, shot from about 20 yards further to the south, close to the driveway of No.14.

,

The right-hand picture takes in house block No.16 and some of No.15, showing the rear of the Reservoir Road units six feet from future back walls. The left hand photo, taken from approximately the same spot, looks northwards towards to creek/drain into which the development's stormwater drainage empties.

The fall of the land is quite noticeable now, and to the right and between the grader and the survey pegs to the right is where the Community Centre will be built, actually some six to eight feet below the ground level of our house.

,,

These three views are all of work in progress over on the northern boundary, withg evidence of drainage pipes stockpiles in all three.

In actual fact, the roadway to houses 28 and 29 is built over a very large inverted box culvert into which many of the other storm water drains empty.
