Site Visits during Construction

7th May 2002

Above, on the left, we can see my wife Pat with Ross (Warrina Homes CEO) next to our car on the internal roadway leading to our future home. On the right we see Construction Manager Will in a discussion with another resident. Ross took the photo below of a decapitated Pat and me standing on our slab. I'm glad that Will and not Ross is the Construction Manager!! <grin>

Here are two shots, the one on the left being the house next door and the one next to it - just slabs at this stage. On the right is the view looking down our meandering road - lovely not to have straight roads, reminiscent of state housing of the seventies.

It has bucketed down with rain the last week, which could have slowed construction a bit. The storm water drains appear to be working well. It was rubber boots and parkas weather during today's site visit.

The shot above was taken from the top of "Mount Sinai" as the first arrivals walk up the muddy track from the main gate to where the action is.

Great news!! In the far distance on the left we can see that the first lot of timber framework is up, being houses 16 and 17 opposite each other at the end of the cul-de-sac, plus some work has been done on the next house down each side, numbers 15 and 18.

A conference between supervision and future residents takes place under threatening skies by the NW corner of what will be the the Community Centre... and workmen being "helped" by the Construction Manager and CEO :)

"Mount Sinai" shots of the work in progress certainly look impressive, and there are more of them as work proceeded.
